This month's envelope

November: Expedition Bandipur

Ann went into Bandipur forest and saw wild elephants, a peacock and a herd of spotted deer. This envelope brings that expedition home to your child.

Our Children's Day envelope, a gift addressed to your child by name.

What your child will do and keep

  • An envelope with their name on it
  • Real-animal stickers cut to shape: elephant, peacock and deer
  • A wearable Explorer Pass, with a promise to say out loud
  • A stand-up "Build your Bandipur" forest scene to keep on a shelf
  • Explorer binoculars with a "What can you spot?" checklist
  • Ann's letter

A sneak peek. The final envelope may differ slightly.

Why post

Almost nothing a child receives is addressed to them. Post is. It has their name on it, it arrives on a day nobody planned, and it cannot be scrolled past.

That is most of why this works. The contents matter, but the envelope with their name on it is the part they remember.

Two clubs, by age

Same envelope habit, different contents. If your child is six and you’re unsure, take the older one — children grow into it faster than you expect.

Ages 3–6

Stickers, seeds and twenty minutes

₹349 a month · 3 or 6 envelopes

  • A picture letter, with a note to you on the back
  • A sticker sheet
  • Two activity cards — one for doing, one for noticing
  • Something to touch — seeds, a texture square, crepe paper
  • A “show me” card for the photo you send back

For pre-readers, with a grown-up alongside. Roughly twenty minutes, usually the twenty before dinner.

Charged once a month. Stops by itself at the end of the term.

Ages 6–11

Post addressed to them, not to you

₹399 a month · 3 or 6 envelopes

  • A letter, addressed to your child by name
  • A mission card — one thing to go and do this month
  • A four-page mini-magazine
  • A sticker sheet
  • A reply postcard, already addressed to us

For children reading on their own. No grown-up required, though most report reading it anyway.

Charged once a month. Stops by itself at the end of the term.

Same amount, same date.

Posted early each month
India Post takes three to seven days from there.

It stops by itself
No standing mandate. We have to ask you again, and you have to say yes again.

A postcard with a stamp and a small envelope, an arrow looping back

Mail that goes both ways

Every Ages 6–11 envelope has a postcard in it, already addressed to us, with a question on the back. All your child has to do is write on it and post it.

We print our favourite replies in the following month’s issue, first names only. Children who write back sometimes find themselves in the post.

Questions

When does it arrive?

Posted early each month. India Post takes three to seven days from there, depending on where you are.

Will I be charged forever?

No. You pick three months or six, and the payment cancels itself at the end. There is nothing to remember to cancel.

Can I cancel early?

Write to us and we’ll stop it. We can’t refund envelopes already posted.

What if we’re travelling?

Tell us before the 5th and we’ll hold that month and add it to the end of your term. You don’t lose it.

My child is 6. Which club?

Ages 3–6 if they aren’t reading independently yet, Ages 6–11 if they are. If you’re unsure, take the older one — children grow into it faster than you expect.

I have two children.

One envelope covers the household — no need for two subscriptions. If their ages straddle the two clubs, take the one matching the eldest and tell us, and we’ll add a second sticker sheet at no charge.

Do you ship outside India?

Not yet.

Is this a workbook by post?

No. Workbooks are in the shop and they’re for sitting down with. This is for opening.
